Super comfy shoes

I purchased these to replace my favorite pair of Mary Janes. I'd never spent this much money on a pair of shoes and was hesitant. But they are hands down the most comfortable shoe I've ever owned. Beautiful shoes

First of all let me disagree with a previous reviewer and say these shoes are not narrow. I ordered these in M/B( which is regular width) and they fit perfectly. I always wear standard width and haven't had any issues with these shoes whatsoever. Keep in mind though they run a little small i usually wear 8 but got these shoes in 8.5 and they fit.

The shoes I liked very much but they were to wide for my foot. The return was a total headache! Dealing with the person in India was beyond anything I could imagine. She couldn't understand what I wanted to do with the shoes I spent 1 hour and 35 minutes trying to get across what I wanted!! Company problem not the shoes!

I have been trying to exchange these shoes for the correct size for over 2 weeks and this company does not respond back to me. I cannot imagine if I needed to return something. I have MBT shoes and they are terrific I just ordered the wrong size accidentally. I would never purchase from this company again. Don't believe their return/exchange policy. Le'go my Ecco!

For those who remember the old Eggo Waffle advertising slogan: "Le'go my Eggo!" the title to this review may be a sign of my deeply seeded overprotective feelings toward the Bouillon Flat...Well you are right (hangs head in false shame...). Despite the fact that I own this style in more colors then I am willing to admit every day I struggle with the decision whether or not to actually wear the shoes outdoors...they just look so darn pretty in the closet! I believe that in the Bouillon Ecco has created THE PERFECT FLAT! If the feminine Ballet Flat and the comfy Sneaker had an offspring the Bouillon is what it would look like...



FIT:

True EU sizing (my US 11 requires an EU 42); true to size and true to width; forgiving for a wider foot. Oddly enough when I first put the shoe on I felt I had made a big mistake: the shoe rubbed mercilessly in many places. Thankfully I persevered; after a couple of hours the shoe molded onto my foot and became UBER comfy. Unlike with many ballet flats there is ample toe coverage with an accommodating toe box.



MAKE:

Upper and lining are leather or suede. The materials wear VERY well. I have had the shoes for over a year now but they still look almost new. The shoe does not sweat. The sole is rubber. There is a brilliantly hidden heel (about one inch); invisible from the outside allows for good balance. With its comfort the entire structure of the sole reminds me of a sneaker but with a purely feminine look of a ballet flat.



LOOK:

The picture does not do the shoe justice. The style slims the foot and ankle while transcending fashion fads. Well padded but never bulky this shoe offers reasonable protection from the elements without the masculinity of a loafer; it is comfortable without the ruggedness of a sneaker; it is dainty without the barely there support of a ballet flat. The red color in particular is a sight to behold though all the colors add something to an outfit be it jeans skirts or suits.



While I highly recommend this style for all the above reasons please remember: in the case of the Bouillon ownership can easily turn to addiction...Buy at own risk!

Wonderful shoes

I ordered these shoes after having read about them in a catalog - I was intrigued. I wasn't willing to pay the full price of $140 but found them on Amazon for only $35 and thought I was certainly willing to risk that amount of money. Loved these shoes so much I ended up buying a SECOND pair in one of the other styles from another vendor and paid almost full price! These mules are like walking in slippers - from the very moment I put them on. They do run large and my only complaint would be that they are not made in my size of 35 (US size 5). The 36 in this shoe is more like a 6.5. So I am wearing them every day and ignoring the fact that they are too big - they are that comfortable and cute! Freaking Amazing!!

I have peripheral polyneuropathy a degenerative disorder that causes numbness AND excruciating pain in my feet and lower legs. It is difficult to explain to someone who has not experienced it. Think of feeling like you have thick socks on preventing you from feeling things while at the same time you have electric zinging pains feeling as if you are being shocked or stuck with needles. After being on my feet for as little as 30 minutes I normally have excruciating pain for 1-6 hours afterward frequently requiring a narcotic as well as a hefty dose of Lyrica several times a day. I have been searching for the last 2 or 3 years for the perfect pair of shoes and I think I may have found them at last!

I am a nurse practitioner and I work anywhere from 8 to 24 hours at a time with a lot of walking and standing in our busy 56 bed neonatal unit. Halfway through the night I'm having to take off my shoes and socks because the mere touch of them against my feet is more than I can bear. And then several hours more after I get home before I can get comfortable and go to sleep. I have tried Z-coil Crocs Born...I just haven't found one I like.

Then a friend got a pair of these MBTs (in another style) and let me try them on the other day. IT WAS AMAZING. They totally change the impact of the shoe against the foot with more of it coming at the arch and less on my tender toes and heels. So less toe and heel pain and greater arch support. Genius!!!

Just incidentally my husband washed my Crocs in really hot water and they shrank. He forgot to tell me this before I left for my 16 hour shift last week. Just the slight increase in pressure on my feet made that shift horrible for me. And the next morning I discovered these shoes. I went home ordered a pair c overnight delivery so I would have them in time for yesterdays shift. My feet haven't felt this good after a night like that in so long I cannot remember. I have taken nothing extra for pain in over 12 hours!! Hallelujah!!

I would imagine these will benefit many conditions--diabetic neuropathy plantar fascitis polyneuropathy among others. Considering the benefits the cost is more than reasonable. Anything that enables me to care for my patients in comfort is BRILLIANT!!!

Incidentally I chose this particular style for the "cute" factor--It looks good with my scrubs at work and I can still wear it with slacks or a long skirt. Yowza!!More detail ...

MBT Tunisha Casual Mary Jane

I love the dressy look of my new MBT's. I'd read here (and on the site where I ordered) that they are running 1/2 size smaller and that I should order 1/2 size larger than my norm. I printed the foot sizing chart and ordered the 1/2 size larger but when they arrived (and they arrived quickly) they were just a tad large. I ruminated about what to do but decided to return them for the 8's and I'm so glad I did. They fit great and function the same as my MBT sandals in terms of 'the walk'. It's GREAT to be able to wear dressier clothes with them! Hope the company continues to upgrade and update their styles so the whole line becomes more contemporary and attractive. MBT's have resolved my foot issues (I'm a therapist on my feet all workday) and I'm very grateful.More detail ...
